A friend of mine has both migraines and chronic sinus headaches from a sinus infection, and she swears by olive oil applied directly to her head, right where it hurts. She tries to use gauze or puts some on the pad of a bandaid to keep it from dripping. I’ve never tried it, but she says it really works. I’ll pray for you, too.

The smell of peppermint can alleviate headaches. I burn peppermint incense or a peppermint candle. There are also topically applied balms you can use to massage your temples or neck–I’ve got one from Bath&Body Works that helps somewhat. The caffeine suggestion can really work, too.

I know how you feel…I’ve had headaches for over 10 years. I’ve tried medicine, ice packs, heat packs, drinking tons of water, lying down, chiropractors, massages, anything! It never helped. I’ve recently started going to physical therapy and it really seems to work. Maybe you should try going to your doctor and have him/her recommend you to a physical therapist. Good luck!
